Artist Development Bursary
New Perspectives on Participatory Arts Conference

22nd and 23rd May 2018
We are delighted to be able to offer a small number of Artist Development Bursaries to allow community artists to attend the New Perspectives on Participatory Arts Conference at the University of East Anglia on the 22nd and 23rd of May 2018. This conference, organised by the AHRC Connected Communities programme, seeks to draw together the new knowledge and practice generated by and emerging from funded research projects across Connected Communities as well as more widely in the fields of community and participatory arts. As part of the Artist Development Bursary the conference team will organise the artist’s travel to and from the conference as well as up to 2 nights accommodation on the 21st and 22nd of May. The bursary includes an invitation to the conference dinner taking place at the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts on the 22nd of May.
Eligibility
- This exciting development opportunity is available to any artist, musician, performer, practitioner or arts organisation whose work focuses on community engagement or broadening participation within the arts
- Artists must be able to attend the conference in full on the 22nd and 23rd of May 2018
- The bursary is open to all practitioners, applicants do not need to be affiliated with a university or the Connected Communities programme
- The bursary is only available to UK based artists
